It's Not Just About The Clothing--It's How You Wear It

SUMMARY: To tuck or not to tuck.
Except for some of the guys, please note: No tucked in shirts!

Not tucked in:

Not tucked in (except for one male-type person):

Not tucked in (again, the belt-shower is male):
Not tucked in (another guy shamelessly displaying a belt):
Not tucked in (not even the very young lady, so so much for everyone who says "it's to hide our middle-aged spread", I'm thinkin' she's got none of that):

Not tucked in, even the guys:

Not tucked in--hmm, except maybe the lady in the tie-dyed shirt. What's with that? What *is* she thinking? Or is she just a trail-blazer that we shall all soon follow?

Therefore, being the fashion maven that I am, I experimented with not tucking my shirt in last weekend. Three separate people commented on it. (Or maybe they were three together people--people who are In The Know about Taj MuttHall fashion!) See how influential a blog can be? This important issue wasn't even on anyone's agility fashion radar until I brought it up in Taj MuttHall! You read about it here first!

So, what do you think--tucked or not?

  1. Well, you look nice with your shirt tucked in. But you know how important it is to fit in, so you better go untucked. LOL

  3. No way I'm tucking in my shirt, way too uncomfortable never mind the fashion of it.

But I did think about it this weekend as I was at a trial where last year someone was stung multiple times by a wasp that had flown up her shirt and got caught. It was very angry at being stuck in her shirt and stung her multiple times with a lot of venom and she had to be airlifted out by helicopter because she had an allergic reaction. I didn't tuck my shirt in but I did keep my treat pack belted tightly around my waist when I was walking near the fields where the wasps were. OTOH if the wasp flew in the top of your shirt and your shirt was tucked in you'd be just as screwed.

  4. Right. One of the times I've been stung, I was wearing a skirt outdoors and a bee flew up my skirt. Another time, i was wearing jeans with a hole in the knee and the dang thing went right into the hole and got me on the leg. Having a tighter-fitting shirt would preclude the wee beasties from going in from below. Like, my teal shirt here is wayyy too loose; I think it just looks sloppy. But most of my shirts aren't that loose, like the black polo I'm wearing in the previous photo.
