SUMMARY: Shaking not that bad--
Interesting that the reported experiences for that tremendous quake aren't even as intense as what people felt in the Loma Prieta: Check out the Geologic Survey's interactive map of the Sendai quake here. Once again, the tsunami might be the most devastating part of mother nature's show.
The problem is that, at this point, there's only the one report on the Sendai quake on the "Did you feel it?" map. Only 1 guy reporting "Strong" is a pretty minimal data set.
ReplyDelete@Steph: It is true that a large part of Sendai is inundated with flood waters. Yeah, could skew the results a bit.
