  2. Thanks. That layer of "clouds" beyond the farthest ridge is fog lying across the Pacific. Looks like the coast is about 15-20 miles distant from where we were.

  3. I do like photos that show the peace and power of being out on a hike (melodramatic words I know, but you get the concept I'm sure). I've always been one of those people who can just look at mountains (or even hills) for hours, enjoying the views, drinking in the calm, feeling the wind (or preferably breeze) in my hair.... photos 2 and 4 are particularly beautiful, because they remind me of walking through the hills around Adelaide and also out near Silverton (near Broken Hill where my Dad grew up).

  4. I noticed a lot of similarity in the general feel and appearance of the landscape between the [very few] parts of Australia I visited and California.
