SUMMARY: Tika's Gold Lifetime Achievement Award
Hoody hoo, Tika's LAA Gold plaque, which she earned in May, showed up in my mailbox this week!
In the past, they awarded these at the Nationals each year. Which mean that, for example, if you earned an LAA in January of one year, you'd have to wait until September of the following year to get it. It was kind of worth it, being acknowledged in a public ceremony, although there have been enough dogs earning them that they'd just do an "everyone stand up who earned one" thing; not quite as much fun, and, well, it would've been nice to have the plaque earlier. So, congrats USDAA on getting these things out so quickly! (I guess they're doing them quarterly now.)
The other thing I got this week was an official email from USDAA asking for a photo of Tika (or me and Tika) to be used " in a visual presentation at the Cynosport 2011 World Games." Now, that's a cool idea! Now to decide what photo to use--so many to choose from!

I'm sure it's just my weird sense of humor, but I suspect most dog photos will be them doing agility. I'm so tempted by the box one or the standing-on-the-tunnel one.
What do you guys think?
I vote for all 4 feet in the box.
ReplyDeletethe box and tunnel both cracked me up - I love the ones of the blue blue sky behind her- either on dw or rock ... :)
ReplyDeletenice plaque :)
I like the humour of her standing on the tunnel, also like the one of you both with the ribbon and jump bar. Also like the standing proudly with trees and blue sky one, the snow one, the chair one. Also the last tunnel one.
ReplyDeleteGlad I'm not the one who has to decide ;-)
Me, too. ...oh, wait, I do have to decide! I'm also thinking of the Aframe one, with all 4 feet in the air, and labeling it "2 on, 2 off".
ReplyDeleteLove the box shot, it would add humor to the presentation, AND everyone watching it would get it! On the other hand that last one coming out of the tunnel is a classic...as is the one with the trees and the A-frame..etc....
ReplyDeleteTika is so beautiful. Pics are so fun! I love the box & the tunnel and know they'd be a big hit with the audience! Still it supposes to also include you.

I don't really have any photos of me & Tika that I like--actually very few at all that don't also include Boost. Will have to fix that, get more photos of each and with each.
ReplyDeleteI like the one of her standing on something with the really blue sky in the back and the tree tops. Very nice picture. But I also like the one of her in the chair.
ReplyDeleteThanks, all, for the comments. I've decided on the standing-on-the-tunnel one. It's not too serious or pretentious (Ok, it's funny), but it's agility related, and it's a decent photo of her.
ReplyDeleteSo many nice photos! I love the last one because it really shows her lovely face and expression.
