January: Winter in San Jose

SUMMARY: Wordless Wednesday (and Garden Bloggers' Bloom Day).

For Garden Bloggers: Yellow rose, oranges, purple primrose,  red primrose with green changed to black and white in Lightroom, paperwhite narcissus, pink gerbera daisy, pansy, cylamen, purple lobelia with daffodil and cyclamen leaves, red rose

  1. Beautiful. I am trying to be happy for you. But it's going down to 6 degrees here tonight, 6 inches of snow before the weekend. Can't complain though, as we've had 50's through most of Dec and into last week. Still, we have nothing in bloom. At. all. Sigh.

  2. The roses are a surprise for January. I suppose had I trimmed them back like I'm supposed to that they wouldn't be there. Some impatiens in very sheltered areas against the house were still blooming until we got a couple of really good frosts (below 30) here this week. Now we're heading into 4 days of rain, and it has been a very long time since we've had any of that. Lawn should be happy. :-)
