  2. Thanks! I missed the original shot that caught my eye--looked like an old fur tossed limply across the back of a chair, and when I realized it had an ear, I grabbed my camera, but apparently even though he was napping and his head was turned away, just walking by on the sidewalk roused him to a frenzy of barking, which of course invited his friend to join him. Made for a fun shot but sorry I missed the original one. Might have to sneak over there some other sunny day to try for a recapture.

  3. Geocaching seems like fun, I should try it sometime. Love the photo of the window with the reflection of the tree, and the dogs and the bird of paradise flower..very cool!

  4. Yeah, you should try it sometime! http://www.geocaching.com/ You have to sign up to see hides, I believe, but no fee, no spam. Then on the main page, you type in your zip code (or wherever you're going walkabout) and it gives a map with geocaches on it. Of course you'd want to read the various info that they provide about geocaching. I mostly do it as a sideline to places I'm already hiking, although sometimes it's an excuse to go exploring somewhere new.

  5. Oh I always love it when we walk by the homes with dogs. I can hear some of them still barking long after we have moved past. Then I think about those times I've been snuggled in for a little rest mid day and someone walks past our house. Boy do our dogs let them have it! That's also the end to what was going to be a peaceful way to spend an afternoon for me.

  6. That is an advantage to living on a cul de sac--not a lot of dogs or people walking by. But squirrels, oh boy!
