January: Winter in San Jose

  1. Beautiful. I am trying to be happy for you. But it's going down to 6 degrees here tonight, 6 inches of snow before the weekend. Can't complain though, as we've had 50's through most of Dec and into last week. Still, we have nothing in bloom. At. all. Sigh.

  2. The roses are a surprise for January. I suppose had I trimmed them back like I'm supposed to that they wouldn't be there. Some impatiens in very sheltered areas against the house were still blooming until we got a couple of really good frosts (below 30) here this week. Now we're heading into 4 days of rain, and it has been a very long time since we've had any of that. Lawn should be happy. :-)
