  1. Oh, this caught me off guard ... I'm so terribly sorry. Doesn't matter how long they're with us, it's never long enough. I'm so glad he was able to be out there running agility and playing wiht you right to the end ...

  3. Oh Ellen, I am so sorry for you loss, so quickly and unexpectedly. Please know that I am thinking of you and hope you will be able to remember that last good run with Jake...more than the plaintive barking while waiting to pick him up at the vet. So, so sorry.

  4. Ellen,

I am truly sad and so very sorry for your loss. I feel it is my loss, too. Jake was always my favorite, as you know, and I just adored him.

On the upside, he did go out with a bang! What an amazing agility master he was, right up to the last possible minute! No dog could ask for a better life than to live with you. Jake was a lucky dog. I wish I was there to give you a big hug – we could cry together. Be assured you will not cry alone – I’m bawling my eyes out here.

Thanks for letting me know. You are in my thoughts.

P.S. Every email I try to send you bounces. I have no idea why.

    P.P.S. Fuck the AKC

  5. Elayne, thanks for the reminder about the link to Jake's video. I've pointed people there many times but was too zapped to think of it myself today.

And thank you all for your comments; I always intended the blog mostly for my own entertainment, but it's nice to get the extra support and encouragement.

  6. Oh how sad. I'm so sorry, there really are no words. It sounds like he had an awesome life and was very lucky to have found you.

(I'm not the one that posted the video link above but I will go check it out)

  8. I'm so sorry about Jake. What a terrible shock and sad loss. It's such a short time we have with them but such a long, long time that we miss them.
